Password Management at its Finest

Overview- With so many different devices, websites, and services to use these days it can be very hard to keep track of your passwords. If you haven’t seen a list of what people actually use for passwords (trust me they are pretty bad), you’ll know it is not taken as seriously as it should be. Enter SecuStore…

What’s great- Secustore is a complete password manager for nearly all of your devices. Basically you create a set where you will store your passwords. For example let’s say you made a set for your 5 email accounts. You would name the set email, give that set a password (Make sure you don’t forget that one! There is no password recovery), and then proceed to enter your different email accounts into there own slot. There are many different fields to put into your stored items and you can even choose from a picture to help jog your mind.

What’s not so great- When I first started using Secustore I didn’t really understand how to use it. The concept of creating a master set and then subsets can be a little overwhelming. It does have dropbox support which is nice, however if dropbox isn’t your thing there is no way to export your passwords which is disappointing. Probably the most glaring omission is the fact that it isn’t available for Android. It is however avilable as a Google Chrome app so maybe in the future we will get it for Android, however it still seems like an odd thing to skip over.

Overall- There are probably a ton of different password managers out there, however SecuStore does everthing you could ask in password manager and does it well.  I have encounted no issues with it losing my passwords or anything like that and the sync with dropbox syncs perfectly all the time.  having the Chrome app is huge too.  It is a little pricey at $5.99, but it is something that will make your life a lot easier and organized.

Available for- iOS, WebOS, Blackberry

Price- $5.99
